about
Pat & Ellie’s Story
Pat and Ellie opened their first business, LOCAL in New Buffalo, shortly after their family farm in Three Oaks. There they produced artisanal bacon, sausages, and meats, along with a daily veritable farmers market of produce, specialty foods and wines. In 2017 they shifted their focus to Three Oaks, opening Patellie’s and P & E Bottle Shop next door. In the years since putting down roots in Harbor Country, their love has only grown—for each other, the people, and this very special place.

Meet The owners
Pat Mullins
Pat, a Chicago native, was raised on the Windy City’s finest pizzas. After university he moved back to Chicago where he enrolled at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. He “cheffed” his way through some of the country’s top restaurants, and met Ellie at one of them, in Santa Barbara, California. His love of cooking and decades of experience are the perfect ingredients for making delicious pizza, and it’s what makes Patellie’s so special.
Ellie Mullins
Ellie started life as a Brussel sprout, born just a few miles south of the famous Belgian capital, a country renowned for its culinary excellence. Growing up, first in Belgium and later in northern California, Ellie developed a love and respect for artisanal meats and cheeses sourced from the grower-producers, as well as produce, grains, and hand-crafted wines. Besides working with Pat at Patellie’s, Ellie also runs the P & E Bottle Shop, where she carries on her family tradition in the business of wine.
